Teddi Mellencamp has a new man in her life.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum recently revealed she has started dating an older man amid her ongoing stage 4 cancer journey.

“We’re going to call him Derek,” Teddi coyly teased fans during the April 8 episode of her and Tamra Judge‘s Two Ts in a Pod podcast before later adding, “He’s older than I am.”

And while the 44-year-old—who shares kids Slate, 12, Cruz, 11, and Dove, 6, with ex Edwin Arroyave—didn’t reveal the identity of her mystery suitor, she did note that his college-aged kids still live at home, making their situation a little more complicated.

“That’s the thing when you’re dating and you’re both parents,” Teddi shared. “Like, how are you ever supposed to get past first base? I have kids in my house. He has kids in his house.”

However, she emphasized it’s still too early to breach how they’ll navigate the more intimate details. 

“These are the things that I haven’t brought up on these dates,” she explained. “I’m taking it slow with him. Normally that hasn’t been my past.”
