PGA golfer Russell Henley

Pinnacle Financial Partners is making its presence felt on the PGA Tour.

Five-time PGA Tour winner Russell Henley was scheduled to wear the Pinnacle Financial Partners Brand when he teed off Thursday morning at the 2026 Masters Tournament in Augusta, Ga.

In addition, Pinnacle has entered into a three-year sponsorship agreement with the PGA Tour’s Cadillac Championship in Miami, Fla. The firm is also the presenting sponsor for the Cadillac Championship Official Pro-Am, when the PGA Tour returns to Trump National Doral from April 29 through May 3.

Founded in 2000, Nashville-based Pinnacle is a $119.1 billion asset regional bank that operates in the southeast, serving customers in Tennessee, Virginia and the Carolinas among other sites.

Henley has been a Synovus brand ambassador since 2023, and he will publicly debut the Pinnacle brand for the first time at the Masters following a January merger between Pinnacle and Synovus.

The firm is working to integrate brands with full conversion expected in early 2027.

Henley, a Macon, Ga., native, is ranked No. 12 in the world and has captured more than $48 million in career earnings on the PGA Tour since turning pro in 2011. The 36-year-old Henley, who finished tied for fourth in the 2023 Masters, represented the U.S. in the 2024 Presidents Cup and the 2025 Ryder Cup.

“Russell exemplifies what we value most as a combined firm: character, discipline and commitment,” Kevin Blair, president and CEO of Pinnacle Financial Partners, said in a release.

“This partnership reflects our shared beliefs and builds on a solid foundation that began with Synovus and now continues with Pinnacle. Russell is the ideal fit to bring our brand to life in this next chapter.”

The sponsorship agreement with the Cadillac Championship is Pinnacle’s first PGA Tour event partnership and serves as another milestone for the bank in strengthening its presence in the Southeast market.

Pinnacle will also serve as the presenting partner of the tournament’s Pro-Am, which will be titled the Cadillac Championship Official Pro-Am presented by Pinnacle Financial Partners.

“This partnership reflects the way we approach growth, which is by investing in great markets, building relationships and showing up in meaningful ways,” Michael Walker, Pinnacle’s South Florida group executive, said in a release.

“South Florida is an important part of Pinnacle’s future, and this gives us an opportunity to engage with clients and the community on a larger stage while introducing more people to our distinctive style of banking.”
