Florida football corner Devin Moore took part in the vertical jump on the Gators’ Pro Day.
- The Dallas Cowboys selected University of Florida cornerback Devin Moore in the fourth round of the NFL Draft.
- Moore, a Naples High School graduate, was a four-star recruit who played for the Florida Gators.
- Moore is the first Naples High graduate drafted since Carlos Hyde in 2014.
University of Florida cornerback Devin Moore was selected by the Dallas Cowboys with the 114th pick, or the 14th selection of the fourth round, in the NFL Draft on Saturday.
The Naples High graduate put together a strong senior campaign with the Gators and will soon take his talents to Texas.
Who is CB Devin Moore?
Moore is a native of Naples, Florida and played high school football at Naples High School. As a defensive back, he was a starter since his freshman year.
In his time with Golden Eagles, he posted 160 tackles and 10 interceptions in 41 games and was invited to the 2022 All-American Bowl.
A four-star recruit out of high school, Moore committed to Florida in December 2021.
After dealing with injuries throughout his Gator career, Moore showed out in his senior season with career highs across the board as he posted 35 total tackles, two interceptions, three pass deflections, a sack, and a forced fumble.
Moore has also shined off the field. In January, he was named the 2025 GatorMade x Danny Wuerffel Man of the Year, the University of Florida’s honor recognizing leadership, community service and perseverance among student-athletes.
How did Devin Moore fare at the NFL Combine?
Moore participated in the NFL combine in February after undergoing groin surgery a few months earlier.
He ran a 4.50-second 40-yard dash. He was measured at 6-foot-3 and 198 pounds.
What it means for SWFL
Moore is Southwest Florida’s first selection in the NFL draft since Lehigh defensive back Quan Martin was chosen by the Washington Commanders in the second round in 2023.
The last Collier County player to be drafted was Immokalee defensive lineman Deadrin Senat, who was picked in the third round by the Atlanta Falcons.
Naples High School last had a former player selected in the NFL draft in 2014 when running back Carlos Hyde was picked by the San Francisco 49ers in the second round.
