NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — FOX 17 News is in Code Red Weather alert for all modes of severe weather for Monday and Tuesday, including wind, tornadoes, and hail.
Middle Tennessee is gearing up for two rounds of severe weather to kick off the work week.
Both rounds will hit during the overnight hours. The first round is expected to arrive between 10:00 p.m. Monday and 6:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Damaging wind and tornadoes are the main threats. The best ingredients for severe weather will be along and west of I-65.
There will be a brief break through Tuesday afternoon before the second wave of strong storms arrives along the cold front. Timing will once again be late into the overnight hours.
These storms will depend on whether there’s enough time for the atmosphere to reload after Monday evening’s event. Either way, it’s best to be prepared for severe storms both Monday night and Tuesday night.
