Every year around this time, we start to see the switch from spring to summer at the grocery stores and fast food restaurants. While there are always a selection of red, white, and blue treats in honor of the summer holidays—whether it’s a take on the iconic Bomb Pop or an American flag-themed cupcake platter at a grocery store bakery—this year, we’re seeing more patriotic launches than ever before as America gears up for its biggest celebration in years. This Fourth of July marks America’s 250th birthday and—since we Americans love any excuse to party—the country is celebrating in a big way.

America250 has a lineup of block parties in cities across the U.S., and even if you can’t make it to the special Times Square ball drop or concert at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, you can still celebrate with some of your favorite brands. Coca-Cola is launching new state-themed collectible cans, Cheerios has a red, white, and blue birthday cake-flavored cereal, and Mountain Dew has rebranded itself as American Dew for the summer.

Oreo won’t be missing out on the iconic celebration as it’s announced plans to bring back its red, white, and blue crème-stuffed cookies—but in an all-new way. Instead of relaunching its Olympics-themed chocolate cookies with red, white, and blue crème and popping candies, the brand is debuting an all-new flavor inspired by the cult-classic red, white, and blue popsicle.

Oreo is debuting a new, limited-edition Firecracker Pop-flavored cookie.

Unlike Oreo’s past triple-stuffed cookies, the new Firecracker Pop Oreos feature three different flavors of crème sandwiched in between the golden wafers. Just like the nostalgic popsicle, the new Oreo cookies have blue raspberry-flavored blue crème, lemon-flavored white crème, and cherry-flavored red crème—stacked in the same iconic order.

The triple-stuffed Firecracker Pop Oreos will hit retailer shelves nationwide beginning May 4, where they’ll be sold for a limited time this summer. Fans are already excited to grab a pack, with some calling them “a must” and saying they “look amazing” in an Instagram post by @snackolator.

“I can’t wait to deep fry these on the 4th of July,” wrote another excited commenter.

Whether you’re getting creative with them or simply eating them by the sleeve, the Firecracker Pop Oreos will be the perfect addition to all your summer barbecues.
