The crash happened at Illinois Road and Ansley Drive, east of I-69, around 3:30 p.m. on April 30.

According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, North was headed eastbound on Illinois Road when the semi-truck pulled out from a private drive, causing a fiery collision.

North was pronounced dead at a local hospital, while the semi-truck driver was reportedly uninjured.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash, and FWPD says the semi-truck driver is cooperating with authorities.
