Dollar General is expanding its private-label lineup with a new kitchenware brand called “simmer & stir,” designed to offer modern-looking, functional cooking essentials at low prices.

The collection will be sold exclusively at Dollar General stores nationwide and includes nearly 30 items meant to cover everyday cooking needs.

The assortment features basics such as measuring cups and spoons, mixing bowls, spatulas, whisks, tongs and serving tools, the company announced in a news release on May 5. Company leaders say the goal is to combine practical performance with a more elevated design style, giving shoppers an affordable way to refresh their kitchens.

Here’s what we know about Dollar General’s new kitchenware.

Pricing for the new Dollar General line is $12 or less

All products in the simmer & stir line will be priced at $12 or less. The majority of items will range between $2 and $3.50, reinforcing Dollar General’s focus on low-cost household essentials.

Executives say the brand is intended to make everyday cooking more enjoyable while still prioritizing affordability.

“With ‘simmer & stir,’ we’re making it possible for customers to refresh their kitchens with tools that look great, perform beautifully and fit their budget,” said Natalie McConnell, Dollar Tree’s vice president and division merchandise manager of apparel, holiday and home.

When will “simmer & stir” kitchenware be available in stores?

The company says the new brand will launch in approximately 16,000 stores beginning May 11.
