Cooper Flagg just wrapped up the most decorated rookie season in recent memory. The 19-year-old averaged 21.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.2 steals across 70 starts, winning Rookie of the Year.

He joined Michael Jordan as the only rookies to lead their team in all four of those categories since steals were first recorded in the 1973-74 season. Despite his individual success, Dallas finished 26-56 and missed the play-in entirely, though Flagg gave the fanbase a reason to be optimistic.
Now, with the Mavs offseason underway, the No. 1 pick is on vacaiton. A Mavs fan account, @Mavs_FFL, posted Instagram story screenshots of Flagg and his girlfriend, Arianna Roberson, enjoying swings over the ocean at Noah’s Ark in Turks and Caicos.
He can certainly afford the trip. Flagg signed a four-year, $56.4 million rookie-scale deal with Dallas, with roughly $26.3 million guaranteed. That bag doesn’t even include his NIL earnings, which reportedly approached $28 million during his year at Duke.

Roberson, however, is not his girlfriend only. She has her own impressive athletic resume. She’s a Duke basketball player in her own right and the sister of former NBA guard Andre Roberson. Fans on social media immediately recognized the connection:
One fan wrote, “That’s Arianna Roberson, she plays basketball for Duke. Love to see this for both of them.”
Another one added, “Isn’t that Andre Roberson’s sister?”
While many fans liked the Duke connection, not everyone was in vacation mode mentally.
The third one claimed, “Damn, he’s already cooked. Hopefully he gets in the lab soon.”

A fourth fan noted, “He’s clearly learning from @swish41.”
A fifth one penned, “Flagg really is Dirk.”
NBA Fans have compared Flagg to Dirk Nowitzki since his time at Duke, and they’re leaning into that now. Even with the season over, the Mavs community just wants him to stay focused on his game.
