What will the weather be like in Norman during the Luke Combs concert at OU?
Updated: 9:52 AM CDT May 9, 2026
Country music star Luke Combs will take the stage on Saturday for his highly anticipated concert at the University of Oklahoma. The concert, however, comes on an alert day in Oklahoma as severe storms could move through the state and the OKC metro, including Norman. Western Oklahoma has the highest storm risk, sitting at a level 2 slight risk. A level 1 marginal risk has been issued for Oklahoma City and Norman, but storms shouldn’t hit the area until late Saturday. KOCO 5 Meteorologist Mikayla Smith says temperatures will be in the mid-to-upper 80s while concertgoers tailgate and prepare for the show. It’ll be sunny and 86 degrees at 5 p.m., when gates open at the Palace on the Prairie. Opener Dierks Bentley will start around 7:30 p.m., and Combs will be on around 9 p.m. Saturday. As things stand Saturday morning, Mikayla says it’ll be around 76 degrees and clear when Combs starts playing. Storm chances become a little more likely later in the night, as the show is wrapping up and people try to make their way home. KOCO 5 First Alert Weather Team, led by Chief Meteorologist Damon Lane, has been certified by WeatheRate as providing the Most Accurate Forecast in Oklahoma City for 14 consecutive years.
