Disney Cruise Line cancelled the current cruise of the Disney Adventure due to a technical issue that prevented the ship from departing from its homeport in Singapore.

Guests were informed that the sailing was no longer going ahead after boarding the vessel and spending one night onboard.

As part of its series of short cruises to nowhere, the 6,000-passenger ship was scheduled to sail from the Marina Cruise Centre on May 7, 2026.

“We are truly sorry to let you know that we are unable to proceed with your Disney Adventure experience from May 7-11, 2026, as planned,” the company said in a statement shared with guests.

“We fully understand how upsetting and disappointing this news is, and we realize this is not the experience you were looking forward to,” Disney continued.

Without sharing a specific reason for the cancellation, the company added that the safety and comfort of its passengers are a top priority.

“Every decision has been made with you in mind. Our team is fully committed to supporting you and making this transition as smooth as possible under the circumstances,” Disney added.

According to the statement, passengers will receive a full refund of the cruise fare and any unused services, including internet and beverage packages.

The company is also offering a 50 percent discount on a future Disney Cruise, in addition to a pre-arranged, complimentary one-night stay at the JW Marriott Singapore South Beach.

Disney also said it will cover potential associated flight change fees, as well as up to $500 per stateroom for other incidentals.

Before disembarking, guests were also offered free Wi-Fi access in order to help them make new travel arrangements.

A transportation service from the cruise terminal to the designated hotel was also arranged, the statement said.

“We offer our heartfelt apologies for this unexpected situation and thank you for your patience, understanding and cooperation,” Disney added.

After being delivered in late 2025, the Adventure entered service for Disney Cruise Line in March 2026, becoming the company’s first ship in Asia.

Originally ordered for Dream Cruises at the MV Werften Shipyard, the 208,000-ton vessel is currently the largest in the brand’s fleet.
