HOUSTON — A United Airlines flight from Cabo San Lucas to Houston was diverted on Sunday due to an in-flight emergency.
United officials said Flight 579 diverted to Monterrey, Mexico, due to a mechanical issue.
It was an Airbus 320, but it’s unclear exactly what the mechanical issue was.
There were 143 passengers and five crew members on board at the time.
United officials said everyone got off the plane normally, and they set up a different plane to get people to Houston.
