Kevin Bacon recently went hiking with his daughter, Sosie Bacon, and her boyfriend, Scoot McNairy, and not everything went quite as planned for the actors.
Kevin took to Instagram on May 9 to share that he was attacked by a swarm of bees during the hike, and he did so in a way that couldn’t be funnier. In a video posted on the social media platform, he narrated the entire incident for his followers and had his daughter act out his reaction to the attack.
“So these bees, they must not have liked my work or something, ’cause they left the [Sosie and Scoot] alone and they went full-on after me. ‘Let’s attack KB.’ Bees stinging me everywhere, including underneath my shirt,” Kevin recalled.

Although Kevin said he was glad that the incident wasn’t caught on camera, the actor still wanted to give his fans a little something to help them picture the scene.
“Now, it was very nice of my daughter to not take out her phone and start videoing this epic bee-sting dance that I was doing, but I asked her if there was any way that she could recreate it from memory,” he noted before attaching a clip of Sosie reenacting the “dance” paired with the song “Perfect Day.”
“There’s bees in there,” Sosie said in the clip, seemingly mimicking Scoot, before transitioning into an impression of Kevin stumbling into an imaginary beehive. She then erupted into frantically waving her limb and threw her baseball cap aside as she tried to take her sweatshirt off.
“It was nothing more nothing less than that very dance,” Sosie wrote in the comments, with her mother, actress Kyra Sedgwick, chiming in, “Soooooo gooood!!”
As made evident on their social media accounts, the Bacon family, which also includes Sosie’s brother, Travis Bacon, shares a very close bond with one another. The four, who often post videos of themselves singing and dancing together, recently reunited for the big screen alongside Scoot.
The project in question is Family Movie, a comedy horror co-directed by Kevin and Kyra. In March, Sosie and Travis revealed what it was like to star alongside their parents during an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Admitting how skeptical she was about working with her family, Sosie said, “I had reservations for sure. I think we all were concerned that, you know, things would come up, we would get into arguments… little tensions and stuff would arise in the situation because we’re on set.”
Thankfully, however, the project apparently brought the four closer together.
Sosie said, “It was the most pleasant and exciting and kind of connected experience that we could have had.”
Meanwhile, Travis weighed in, stating, “It felt extremely collaborative and felt like everybody’s voices were heard.”
