BOISE, Idaho (WKRC) — An Idaho man is on a nearly 30-year hot streak when it comes to playing the lottery, recently earning his 18th win.

“Does lightning strike 18 times?” Idaho Lottery shared in an Instagram post. “For Idaho Lottery player Robert Bevan…it just might.”

In the post, the lottery detailed Bevan’s wins throughout the years, starting with him winning a Chevrolet Blazer during a 1997 promotional giveaway. Since then, Bevan has won numerous prizes ranging from $1,000 to $200,000.

Bevan’s most recent win was $50,000 from a $1,000,000 King Scratch Game, but he says his lottery wins aren’t what make him lucky. That can be attributed to his wife.

“My real luck is 40 years with the same amazing woman,” he told lottery officials.

Bevan says that playing the lottery with his wife has “become part of life” and something the couple does together for fun.
