South Park‘s most recent season generated no shortage of headlines last year, and now we know when the mayhem will begin anew.

Season 29 of the continuing misadventures of Cartman, Kyle, Stan and the rest of the gang — and likely Donald Trump, Satan, JD Vance, Pete Hegseth, et al. — will launch on Wednesday, September 16, on Comedy Central. Episodes will stream on Paramount+ the following day in North America and Canada.

When we last left the snowy Colorado town, Trump and his buddies were plotting to kill his antichrist spawn in time for the holidays. That came a couple of weeks after Defense Secretary Hegseth deployed troops into South Park. Fast-forward several months, and there’s been plenty of real-world news to be skewered and roasted.

The acerbic toon has aired more than 330 episodes and pilloried scores of subjects and celebrities since its 1997 launch. But few if any seasons have generated as much buzz, hosannas or hate as what was deployed in 2025. The show was merciless with its satirical barbs against top government officials and current events, just as its parent company Paramount Skydance has pushed to acquire Warner Bros Discovery. And that planned merger comes on the heels of Parker and Stone inking a massive new five-year deal worth a reported $1.5 billion.
