NEWTON, Kan. (KWCH) – A senior prank that ended in building damage is now under investigation in Newton.
USD 373 Director of Communications Carly Stavola said early Monday morning, 11 recently graduated students unlawfully gained access to Newton High School in what appeared to be part of a senior prank.
“Unfortunately, the incident involved intentional damage to the interior of the building and went beyond what would be considered harmless misconduct,” said Stavola.
The incident was captured on the school’s security camera system and has been referred to local law enforcement for investigation. The district said it would not be releasing further details about the incident.
