SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Heavy black smoke could be seen across Salt Lake and Davis counties after a fire ignited near the Interstate 80-Interstate 215 interchange.

Crews from the Salt Lake City Fire Department responded to the area near 369 S. Orange St. after significant smoke was reported.

Officials asked people to avoid the area because of heavy traffic.

It was not immediately clear what caused the fire.
