The WTA Strasbourg women’s tournament Round of 16 concludes on Wednesday. The WTA 500 event has the Round of 16 earlier in the week, setting up quarterfinals on Thursday and the eventual final on Saturday, because the French Open begins on Sunday and the finalists need to have at least a few days to regroup, rest, and prepare for the year’s second major tournament. One of the Thursday quarterfinals in Strasbourg is already set, but the three others remain undecided. That’s what Wednesday’s matches will determine. LWOS has our best bets for three matches. WTA Strasbourg
Tauson – Cristian: Time 14:00 EST
H2H: 3-3
Clara Tauson faces Jaqueline Cristian in a top-35 matchup. The main story here is that Tauson has not completed a tour match since March 8. She has been bothered by continuous injury problems. She had planned to play Stuttgart, Madrid and Rome but could not finish any of those tournaments with back pain. Now she will try again in Strasbourg. Cristian hasn’t been especially good in recent weeks, going 2-3 in her last five matches, but she did beat McCartney Kessler in the first round of Strasbourg and will try to build on that result here.
Best Bet to Make
It is really hard to trust that Tauson’s health is going to allow her to play really good tennis. Maybe Tauson will actually be able to finish this match, win or lose, but the continuous back problems which have completely interrupted her European spring swing are difficult to overlook. It’s not easy to think that Tauson will not only take the court but play with the physical freedom and smoothness which are needed to win professional tennis matches. Tauson deserves skepticism. This is less about trusting Cristian and much more about fading Tauson in this situation.
That being said, betting on Cristian winning is a value bet for sure.

Zhang – Parry: Time 15:30 EST
H2H: 1–0
Shuai Zhang faces Diane Parry in a matchup of top-100 players who are both outside the top 70 (Zhang 74, Parry 94). Zhang defeated Cristina Bucsa in three sets in the first round of Strasbourg. Bucsa is ranked in the top 35 but hasn’t been playing all that well in recent weeks, so it is not easy to assess the value of that win. Parry just beat Emma Raducanu in straight sets. Raducanu has not been playing well, either, so the value of that win by Parry is certainly up for debate as well.
Best Bet to Make
The value of these players’ first-round wins in Strasbourg is hard to evaluate, as we said above. What can be said is that Parry won her match in straight sets while Zhang needed three sets to win her match. Parry is playing in France, her home nation. That might be worth a little bit of support from the crowd and give her the small comfort zone which could make the difference here. Lean to Parry moneyline. The price isn’t amazing, but it’s reasonable, and you’re not taking on the added risk of betting on Parry versus a set or game spread. Moneyline is simpler.
That being said, betting on Parry winning is a value bet for sure.

Navarro – Jovic: Time 19:30 EST
H2H: 0–0
Emma Navarro plays Iva Jovic. Emma Navarro cracked the WTA top 10 in 2024 and remained a relatively solid player in 2025, but she has fallen off the pace in 2026. She has lost seven of her last 10 matches and looks nothing like the player who made solid runs at major tournaments a few years ago. Navarro is desperate to regain some form heading into the French Open. Iva Jovic had match point against Coco Gauff in the Rome Round of 16, but she didn’t win that match point and lost the match in three sets. Can Jovic regroup and put together a solid tournament this week in Strasbourg to build back her confidence before the French Open?
Best Bet to Make
Jovic is playing much better tennis compared to Navarro. She outplayed Coco Gauff for the better part of two sets before losing focus and allowing that match in Rome to slip away. Jovic is a young player who should be hungry for success. Navarro has been a below-average player for most of 2026. There is nothing to suggest that Navarro will play a good match or come close to winning. Betting on a convincing win for Jovic is the play to make.
That being said, betting on Jovic winning 2:0 is a value bet for sure.
