Jason Derulo recently appeared on Uproxx’s “Sound Check” series with host Jeremy Hecht.

Around the 3:00 mark, Jason had to pick between Lil Wayne and Birdman’s “Stuntin’ Like My Daddy” and Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s “Nuthin’ But A ‘G’ Thang“.

In the end, the Miami singer chose “Nuthin’ But A ‘G’ Thang” as his favorite out of the two classics.

However, after that, he talked about being around Cash Money Records when he was just 16 years old.

Derulo recalled writing the hook for “Playing With Fire” for Tha Carter III album. He also mentioned how seeing Wayne‘s work ethic inspired him in the studio.
