The Super Eagles wrapped up preparations yesterday ahead of their Unity Cup semi-final against Zimbabwe in London tomorrow.

Head coach Eric Chelle supervised the team’s final training session as the players worked on tactical drills and match situations before Tuesday’s encounter at The Valley.

Nigeria, defending champions of the competition, will face the Warriors of Zimbabwe at 4pm, with the winners advancing to the final against either Jamaica or India.

Yesterday’s session also provided another opportunity for several home-based players and new invitees to impress the coaching crew ahead of the crucial tie.

Earlier in the day, officials from both teams attended the mandatory pre-match press conference, where Chelle expressed confidence in his side’s readiness despite the integration of several fresh faces into the squad.

The Unity Cup has become an important platform for Nigeria to test emerging talents and strengthen squad depth ahead of upcoming international competitions, including the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Players such as Chibueze Oputa, Obinna Igboke and other NPFL standouts are expected to play prominent roles as Chelle continues reshaping the squad.
