Michael B. Jordan‘s three acclaimed drama movies from Warner Bros. Pictures have finally found a new streaming home on Netflix. These popular movies have a combined worldwide gross of over $661 million at the box office.
What Michael B. Jordan movies are now on Netflix?
Starting today, 2015’s Creed, 2018’s Creed II, and 2023’s Creed III are officially available to stream on Netflix. The sports drama franchise served as a spin-off of Sylvester Stallone’s iconic Rocky movies. The first movie was written and directed by Academy Award winner Ryan Coogler, while Creed II and Creed III were helmed by Steven Caple Jr. and Jordan, respectively. All three movies have Fresh scores on Rotten Tomatoes, with the 2015 film becoming the entire franchise’s highest-rated installment at 95%.
The franchise began with Jordan’s Adonis, an amateur boxer introduced as Apollo Creed’s son. Stallone starred alongside Jordan in the first two installments, reprising his iconic role as Rocky Balboa. He returned as Adonis’ coach and mentor. These movies also starred Tessa Thompson, Andre Ward, Phylicia Rashad, Florian Munteanu, Dolph Lundgren, and Jonathan Majors.
“Adonis Johnson never knew his famous father, boxing champion Apollo Creed, who died before Adonis was born. However, boxing is in his blood, so he seeks out Rocky Balboa and asks the retired champ to be his trainer,” reads the first movie’s official synopsis. “Rocky sees much of Apollo in Adonis, and agrees to mentor him, even as he battles an opponent deadlier than any in the ring. With Rocky’s help, Adonis soon gets a title shot, but whether he has the true heart of a fighter remains to be seen.”
