Crew forward Diego Rossi is expected to miss two to four weeks due to a right hamstring injury, according to coach Wilfried Nancy.

In the Crew’s 5-4 victory over Atlanta on Sept. 13, Rossi went down with the injury shortly after completing a hat trick and left the game in the 42nd minute. Rossi was seen dealing with discomfort in his hamstring seconds before receiving the pass that led to his third goal of the game.

Rossi leads the Crew in goals with 16 in 28 regular-season games, and has four assists.

The Crew sit in fifth in the Eastern Conference standings with five games remaining in the regular season. The MLS Cup playoffs begin on Oct. 22.
