A report has emerged suggesting Britney Spears was arrested on Wednesday night (March 4).

The 44-year-old entertainer was apparently handcuffed on the side of the road in Ventura County, California for a DUI. Apparently, this went down at 9:30 PM last night.

TMZ is claiming that the Ventura County Sheriff’s inmate records say she has already been released. Page Six is reporting that she was booked at 3:02 a.m. and released at 6:07 a.m.

There has not been a lot of recent news about Britney. Last month, it was claimed that she had sold the rights to her music in what was thought to be about a $200-million deal.
