A release from the sheriff’s office said they are looking for two people who unsuccessfully robbed a Burger King at gunpoint on Pio Nono Avenue on Monday night.

MACON, Ga. — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in locating and identifying two people who attempted to rob a Burger King in Macon at gunpoint, according to a release.

The release said that, around 10 p.m. on Monday, two people walked into the Burger King at 3025 Pio Nono Avenue. The release said the two men walked in, pointed firearms at the employees and demanded money.

The sheriff’s office said that they did not receive any money, and eventually ran away from the Burger King toward Krispy Kreme.

The sheriff’s office attached a photo of the two people to their release. They both were wearing masks and black hoodies. One was wearing black pants, while the other was wearing a lighter color pair of pants.

The attempted armed robbery is under investigation. The sheriff’s office asked that if anyone knows who they are and where they are, to call the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 or the Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
