CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The controversial streamer at the center of an attempted criminal homicide case out of Clarksville had his bond reset to $1 million as his case was bound over to the grand jury during a court hearing in Montgomery County on Thursday.
Dalton Eatherly, known as “Chud the Builder” online, had his bond reset during his court appearance on Thursday after it was originally set at $1.25M after a shooting outside of a courthouse in Clarksville.
A Circuit Court Clerk in Montgomery County confirmed to WSMV4 that there are multiple factors set if bond is made.
Earlier in May, Eatherly and Joshua Fox were injured after a confrontation between the two led to a shooting outside the Montgomery County Courthouse, according to the District Attorney General for the 19th Judicial District.
Both of them sustained gunshot wounds in this incident.
Eatherly is officially charged with attempted criminal homicide, employing a firearm during a dangerous felony, aggravated assault, and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon. Previously, the judge explained the steep bond price tag was due to the severity of the charges and the proximity to the courthouse where they allegedly occurred.
Fox, the other man injured during the courthouse shooting, is allegedly a disabled veteran who was shot in the stomach and shoulder during the incident.
Eatherly has gained a following online for his in-your-face videos depicting him pushing the boundaries of free speech by using racial slurs in public settings.
