Daniel Berger heads to Arnold Palmer Invitational’s final round on Sunday leading the field by one stroke. The golfer, who has earned almost $30 million in career earnings, last lifted a PGA Tour trophy in 2021 and will be desperate to claim the title at Bay Hill Club.
Berger turned pro in 2013, two years before he presumably started dating his girlfriend, Tori Slater. Her first post involving him came on April 10, when they went to the Kaseya Center to watch the game between the Chicago Bulls and Miami Heat.
After spending 10 years together, Berger finally put a ring on her finger on May 1, 2025. They announced the news by uploading several heartwarming photos. The couple has not revealed their wedding plans, but it is expected to happen soon.
Both Berger and Slater have been very tight-lipped about their private life and rarely speak about each other in public. However, Slater has always been supportive of her boyfriend and has been spotted at tournaments multiple times.

While Berger and Slater have never publicly revealed exactly how they met, their college timelines suggest a likely connection through Florida’s college scene.
Berger played college golf at Florida State University in Tallahassee before turning professional. His girlfriend, meanwhile, studied at the University of Kentucky before transferring to Florida Atlantic University, where she earned a business and marketing degree.

In mid-2022, Berger suffered a lower back injury that put him out of commission for 19 months.
An evaluation in December 2022 showed a slight bulge in a lower disc and “deep bone sensitivity,” and Berger pursued an extended program of rehabilitation while trying to avoid surgery.

His rehab plan, guided by medical specialists and focused on strengthening his core and back, kept him off the tour until he could swing and compete pain-free. Since then, it has been difficult for him to regain the footing he previously held.
Last year, he again broke his right ring finger during the BMW Championship and had to take time off.
On Sunday, he is in a good position to win and secure his ticket to the Masters next month. Berger has yet to win a major championship in his career.
