The Los Angeles Dodgers are the model for building a star-studded baseball team, though they are seemingly starting trends off the field as well.
The Dodgers’ bullpen is starting to wear a brimless baseball hat, according to reporter Jake Mintz, who snapped a photo of Diaz with the unique hat.
Per Mintz, Diaz wore the hat while getting stretched before Tuesday’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Tanner Scott reportedly started the trend, slicing the bill of the cap, and Diaz saw his set-up man wearing it and decided to make it a thing.

According to Jack Harris of the California Post, Miguel Rojas, who pitched at the end of Monday’s series opener against the Toronto Blue Jays, was also wearing a brimless hat.
“You know why?” he said. “Because I’m a bullpen guy!”
Fellow bullpen mate Alex Vesia will not be joining in on the fun with a clear statement against the fashion choice — “Absolutely not.”
Diaz and Scott are the one-two punch for the Dodgers early on in the season.
Both are expensive pitchers who were brought in to fix their bullpen woes, with Diaz stepping in to close games and Scott taking a back seat after a rough first season with the Dodgers in the closer role.

The Dodgers’ bullpen outlook
The Dodgers’ 2026 bullpen looks like a legitimate strength rather than a liability. Alex Vesia is still rock-solid, even with a drop in velocity.
Scott looks like his former self in a less pressurized role, growing in confidence after reaching an all-time low.
Blake Treinen is also benefiting from less high leverage moments, while Jack Dreyer is picking up where he left off during his rookie year in the regular season.
Will Klein is continuing to emerge as a promising arm as well, and Justin Wrobleski is shining as a swingman.
Additionally, Brock Stewart and Evan Phillips are still on the injured list, and they should have a notable role, along with Brusdar Graterol.

There is also a massive clump of promising arms in the minor leagues that will be pushing for a spot.
With a top-tier rotation and an elite bullpen, the pitching staff on the whole is one of the best in baseball.
