Hundreds of flights headed in and out of Denver International Airport were delayed on Sunday, and dozens were canceled, after an overnight storm dumped snow across Colorado.

Just under an inch of snow accumulated Sunday morning at DIA, according to spotter reports from the National Weather Service. Other parts of the metro area recorded between 1 and 5 inches of snow.

By the time the last plane took off on Sunday, 1,001 flights arriving at or leaving DIA had been delayed and 145 had been canceled, according to flight tracking software FlightAware. More than half of both the delayed and cancelled flights were leaving DIA.
