Merab Dvalishvili proved that size doesn’t matter during a recent viral sparring session.

The former UFC bantamweight champion, who is just 5ft 6in tall, weighs 135lbs when he fights.

Influencer Larry Wheels believed he could beat one of MMA’s best athletes due to his massive size advantage.

Was Merab Dvalishvili’s reign in 2025 impressive enough to warrant an immediate title shot?

‘The Machine’ put the belt on the line a record four times in 2025.

Watch Merab Dvalishvili vs. Larry Wheels

Larry Wheels was recently caught on camera claiming he could take UFC flyweight Manel Kape in the cage.

Cutman Brad Tate told Wheels – real name Larry Williams – he’d get ‘f—ed up’ by any trained fighter.

“Not when the guy is 125lbs against me,” the 6ft 1in, 260lb bodybuilder replied.

“It’s not hard. It’s not hard at all. 260lbs of mass, he’s not gonna be able to move that.”

A few days later, Larry Wheels tested his size theory against Merab Dvalishvili, and it went as you’d expect.

‘The Machine’ quickly submitted him with a guillotine choke before locking up two armbars to make him tap out.

Larry Wheels was utterly exhausted after rolling with Dvalishvili for a couple of minutes.

The muscle-bound 31-year-old took a knee and stayed there as he struggled to catch his breath.

Ultimately, Dvalishvili vs. Wheels was waved off without the two men restarting their five-minute spar.

Merab Dvalishvili will return on May 30

Merab Dvalishvili hasn’t fought since losing his bantamweight title to Petr Yan at UFC 323 in December.

‘The Machine’ hopes to book a tie-breaking trilogy fight after Yan recovers from recent back surgery.

Dvalishvili will stay busy while he waits by facing UFC legend Frankie Edgar in a wrestling match on May 30.

They’ll compete at RAF 09, which will also feature Gable Steveson, Colby Covington, and Chris Weidman.
