Bob Huggins, UC AD, former players on Bearcats hire of Jerrod Calhoun as new men’s basketball coach
- Myles Colvin, a 6-foot-5 guard, is transferring to the Cincinnati Bearcats from Wake Forest.
- Colvin previously played for two seasons at Purdue, including on the 2024 Final Four team.
- He is the son of former Purdue football player and two-time Super Bowl champion Roosevelt Colvin.
Myles Colvin, a 6-foot-5 guard from Wake Forest, is joining the Cincinnati Bearcats and new coach Jerrod Calhoun via the transfer portal.
Colvin committed Friday, the first day visits were permitted. The Cincinnati Enquirer, part of the USA TODAY Network, confirmed the news.
At Wake Forest, Colvin started 24 of 35 games and averaged 11.6 points and 4.4 rebounds per game, shooting 40.3% from the field, 36% on 3s and 87% from the foul line. He had a 33-point game vs. Queens University and a 32-point game vs. Syracuse. He hit a buzzer-beating shot to win against Memphis at the Baha-Mar Championship in November.
Colvin played two seasons at Purdue before becoming a Demon Deacon. The Heritage Christian grad is the son of Roosevelt Colvin, who played at Purdue and won a pair of Super Bowls with the New England Patriots.
Colvin was part of the Final Four team in 2024. He played 12 minutes in the NCAA national championship game loss to Connecticut. He played 31 games that season.
He saw growth as a sophomore with the Boilermakers, when he averaged 5.4 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. He started eight of 36 games played as a regional semifinalist.
