Mondays’ Order of Play
We’ve still got lots of action to get through on Sunday, but here’s a heads up on what to expect at Roland-Garros on Monday.
Seeds in action include four-time RG champion Iga Swiatek against 17-year-old Australian wildcard Emerson Jones on Chatrier, men’s No.5 seed Ben Shelton meets Spain’s Daniel Merida on Suzanne-Lenglen, and 2024 women’s finalist Jasmine Paolini faces Dayana Yastremska on Simonne-Mathieu.
French fan favourite Gael Monfils headlines the night session on Chatrier in his final season on tour. As ever when Gael takes to court, it’s going to be a lively night – he faces fellow wildcard, compatriot Hugo Gaston.
Also playing out his final season is Stan Wawrinka, who plays second on Simonne-Mathieu against lucky loser Jesper De Jong.
