Finding a Mother’s Day gift that’s good enough for Mom? It’s a tall order, I know. But since I’m not in the business of accepting defeat (and neither are you!), I’ve sifted through thousands of the season’s best offerings to land on an assortment of Mother’s Day gift ideas that’ll surprise and delight.

Quick Overview

So, what made the cut? Not another basic candle or throw blanket, that’s for sure. Nope, there’s a Calpak duffel bag that recently landed in Yahoo’s inaugural Travel Awards, a Quince linen set that’s a steal (in terms of price and quality), and plenty of sweet buys that’ll encourage her to stop and smell the roses. Chances are, your mom doesn’t want you to spend big on a gift for her, so I made sure to include plenty of affordable picks starting at $12 and up.

Mom knows best, so I turned to moms in my life — including mine! — for guidance as I nailed down this selection of gifts for mom. I’ve tried a bunch of these finds over the years (I’m testing the towel warmer as we speak!), and others came highly recommended by some of the women I love most.

A mother’s love is forever — just like these long-lasting blooms. This paper bouquet looks as bold and beautiful as the real thing, but it’ll actually stick around for many seasons to come (no water or sunshine needed!). Write a sweet message in the accompanying card, and you’ve got yourself a well-rounded Mother’s Day gift for under $15.

Send your faraway mom a hug in a box. It comes stocked with all the makings for a cozy night at home — fuzzy socks, tea, honey, cinnamon sticks and a ceramic mug. Want to bookmark some other premade gift boxes for the future? I rounded up a list of the best gift baskets from Amazon, Harry & David and more.

Make her garden sparkle with flying jewels — er, hummingbirds — all season long. These beloved fast fliers are drawn to red hues, so this feeder with ruby glass and flower-shaped feeding ports is your best bet. “I went from zero hummingbirds to about 20 hummingbirds daily,” one birder boasted, adding that it’s “easy to assemble and doesn’t have 1 million little pieces to clean weekly.”

Need something small that won’t set you back? This top-selling set is just the thing. It comes with six skin saviors — four moisturizing creams, a hand salve and a pomegranate lip balm. Best of all: It arrives packaged and ready for gifting — no wrapping necessary!

Calpak

Have a jet-setter on your hands? Now’s a good time to update her carry-on. This lightweight, water-resistant weekender has all the bells and whistles, including a trolley sleeve, a separate shoe compartment and pockets galore.

It’s the ultimate travel companion (ask my mom!), but one Calpak shopper pointed out that it’s so much more than that. “I use my Luka duffel as a bag for my breast pump supplies when I go to work. It should seriously be marketed for this! All of the pockets are so great for storing different parts and snacks, and the shoe pocket is great for the pump itself. The material is awesome because it’s so easy to clean.”

You got her an espresso machine for the holidays, and now it’s time to deck out her coffee bar with all the fun stuff. These ceramic cups (just the right size for a shot or two!) look way more expensive than they are, which means you can snag a couple for a reasonable price. Pair ’em with a bag of her favorite beans to make her mornings even brighter.

Here’s a Mother’s Day gift that’s worth its weight in gold. When a headache or migraine strikes, she can take this compression cap out of the freezer (or pop it in the microwave) and slip it on over her eyes for some much-needed relief.

And while it’s marketed for migraines, one satisfied shopper says it’s also key for a good night’s rest. “It helps me fall asleep, kept me cooler and kept out light to further sleep,” they raved.

Tomato Girl Summer is still alive and well. And while any ol’ Dutch oven will do, this single-serve stunner will bring color the season’s fiery red hue to her table. “It’s great to serve dips, olives or individual portions,” one shopper raved, with another adding that it also works as a “beautiful display bowl for cherry tomatoes.”

Geese are taking over porches everywhere. Instead of wrapping up a full-size figurine, go with these hand-painted stakes that she can sprinkle throughout her flower beds or potted plants. They’re not just for laughs; geese symbolize loyalty, protection and togetherness — describes your mom to a T, wouldn’t ya say?

A brand-new Kate Spade purse can cost a pretty penny, but this cardholder is guaranteed to come in under budget — not to mention, it’s a much safer pick since it, ya know, gets tucked inside a bag. This one has four card slots on the back, plus a zippered section large enough to hold cash, punch cards and coins.

When in doubt, go with something that’ll elevate her every day. A warm towel post-shower is the epitome of luxury, and this bad boy can heat two oversized towels or robes at a time. She can even set a timer so it’s ready to go as soon as she hops out of the shower.

Easy, breezy linen is a warm-weather staple. And since she’s probably focused on filling her closet with out-of-the-house styles, treat her to a stylish pair of lightweight linen PJs that’ll keep her cool while she sleeps. Don’t be fooled by the price — yes, it’s considerably less than competitors, but we’re still talking about 100% linen (no polyester foolery here!).

Celebs — Victoria Beckham, Emma Roberts and Rachel Bilson, to name a few — can’t get enough of Osea. Give Mom the brand’s three-step system (including a full-size version of the ultra-popular body oil) so she can join the list of star-studded loyalists.

Here’s a unique way to give something sweet this Mother’s Day. Trade a tray of cupcakes and cookies for eight mini gingham-lidded jars of Bonne Maman’s finest, from honey to an assortment of delicious fruit preserves.

Meet a do-it-all tote that can actually, well, do it all. It’s made from water and tear-resistant vinyl, so it’s durable enough to carry heavy loads and super easy to keep clean. Personalize it with her initials for an extra $17, so she won’t mix hers up with anyone else’s at the dog park, playground or wherever else she totes it.

Treat her garden’s bounty like the masterpiece that it is. Nail this stoneware vase to the wall and dress it up with pretty stems — pick some straight from her garden, then fill it with faux blooms once the weather turns. Opt for the smaller size so she can incorporate it into her gallery wall or go with the bigger version ($30) for a bolder statement.

Lenox

Her Lenox Spice Village is her pride and joy — and rightly so. And since her spice rack is already filled to the brim, lean into her love by gifting her this sugar-and-creamer set in the same whimsical design. They look nearly identical to the ones from the early 1990s, but luckily, you won’t have to dig through a thrift store to find ’em.

She has a lot of beach and pool time on the horizon, but indoor hobbies will come in handy when the summer heat starts to get the best of her. Watercolor is a relatively easy, low-cost option, and this perpetual calendar is a great entry point. Each month features a detailed illustration that she can bring to life with the included brush and paints. Once her monthly masterpiece dries, she can fill in the blanks with birthdays, anniversaries and other important dates.

Tie this bracelet around her wrist, then tell her to make a wish, any wish. When the bracelet inevitably falls off, her wish will come true (or so the story goes). Talk about a gift that keeps on giving!

Tired as a mother? Sounds about right. Give her this embroidered baseball cap to show Mom that you appreciate all of those nonstop days and sleepless nights.

Picking out a perfume for someone else (even the woman you know best!) is risky business. If I were you, I’d wrap up this set of seven deluxe-size samplers and let her call the shots. Once she gets a whiff of something she likes, she can take the included voucher to her local store (or use it online) to redeem it for a full-size bottle. Depending on which one she chooses, she may even stretch her dollar — fragrances from Burberry and Gucci come in at $118, which is $20 more than the whole set.

This isn’t your average bracelet. Nope, this beaded beauty has depth. Choose from a selection of gemstones that symbolize something greater — rose quartz will shower her with love, while apatite is a sweet way to acknowledge the inspiration that she is.
