Following the buzzy debut of the fourth season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives — plus several scandals surrounding the show — and her successful run as Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway, Whitney Leavitt has established herself as an iconic figure in pop culture.

Fans of the Utah-based reality TV series that launched Leavitt’s career probably recognize the tall cups of soda its stars regularly sip on screen. As Mormons, the show’s cast eschews tea and coffee, opting instead for ornate soda creations. Each woman has her own signature order, requesting a variety of flavored syrups — and sometimes even cream — to make her ideal soda.

Leavitt and her family moved to New York City to launch her new Broadway career, but the star isn’t leaving her beloved soda habit behind. Today, the actress and media personality announced that she’s teaming up with NYC-based soda shop chain Cool Sips, so anyone can try her perfect soda order.

To add to her list of achievements, Leavitt and Cool Sips announced today that she’ll be taking on a new role as chief creative and brand officer for the soda shop chain. Her first order of business? Putting her favorite soda on the menu. Fans can head to one of Cool Sips’ four Manhattan locations to order her signature drink, appropriately dubbed “The Whitney.”

The Whitney isn’t a dirty soda — meaning it doesn’t contain any dairy — but instead leans on refreshing, fruit-forward flavors. The drink features club soda, sugar-free pineapple, peach, and vanilla syrups, lime syrup, and raspberry purée. Leavitt tells Food & Wine, “I’ve been ordering versions of this recipe for a long time, so being able to bring one of my personal, viral combinations to life as a signature sip as my first order of business at Cool Sips feels like a full-circle moment.”

Of course, not everyone can snag a soda in New York City, but if you don’t have a Cool Sips near you, building a creative soda concoction is easy to do at home. Leavitt says there isn’t a perfect soda combination to try first, instead noting that “it’s all about your taste preferences! Dirty Soda is all about customization, and that’s really what’s driven its popularity across the country.”

Fruit-flavored syrups, coffee creamers, coconut cream, sodas ranging from plain seltzer to Diet Coke, boba pearls, and puréed fruits are just a few of the most common additions you can use to customize a soda. While it’s likely not customary for Mormon consumers, Cool Sips has even incorporated cold brew coffee into some of its drinks, which might appeal to those looking to switch up their caffeine routine.

Whether you’re ordering a beverage at Cool Sips or making one at home, Leavitt recommends starting by thinking about the flavors you enjoy in other drinks. For example, “If you love piña coladas, you could add pineapple and coconut syrup into your base of choice. It’s designed to be really approachable but also super personalized.”

Although she’s already revealed her signature soda order, it’s likely that Leavitt will introduce more of her original drink ideas to the Cool Sips menu in her new role. She mentions that “as chief creative and brand officer at Cool Sips, my focus is really on shaping what’s next for the category. That means everything from menu innovation to developing new flavor combinations and Signature Sips…” We’ll keep our fingers crossed for a true New York and Utah flavor combination to arrive on menus as part of this partnership — perhaps an egg cream-inspired dirty soda is on the horizon.
