This Morning’s Rochelle Humes and Joel Dommett took on hosting duties as regular presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley take a break
This Morning’s Rochelle Humes kicked off the latest live broadcast by announcing some thrilling news concerning her co-presenter Joel Dommett.
The Masked Singer UK host is expected to welcome another child in the coming days.
On Thursday’s (April 9) instalment, Rochelle and Joel returned to our television screens as they fronted the ITV daytime favourite together.
Yet before they could dive into the programme, Rochelle was eager to highlight that Joel’s wife is due to deliver their baby imminently.
Addressing audiences at home, she began by stating: “Hello and welcome to your Thursday This Morning.”, reports the Mirror.
Drawing attention to the fresh studio, she disclosed: “Joel is with me today. I mean none of us have been to this new place have we. What could possibly go wrong.”

Rochelle then revealed: “We should just point out the fact that you’re about to become a dad again.” Joel interjected: “Yes. Any day right now. It’s very close. It’s really, really close.”
Rochelle continued: “Hannah is very pregnant.” Joel quipped: “Yeah, at any point, I’m not here, and Nick Ferrari has stood in my place. Yes. You know something’s gone horrifically wrong?”
He clarified: “Hannah said that apparently birth usually starts, the contractions start when you’re very relaxed. The oxytocin then starts. Right and This is a quote.
She said ‘There is nothing relaxing about you doing This Morning’ so I don’t think it’s gonna start.” Rochelle added: “Well the phone’s on loud. The phone’s just here. They’re all ready. ready for you, Hannah. So if you need us.”
Joel and his wife Hannah Cooper, who are already parents to two year old son Wilde, announced back in November that they are expecting their second child together.
Hannah recently confessed that she is due to give birth “dangerously soon” as she and Joel count down the days until they welcome the newest addition to their family.
The couple also revealed that they are fully aware of the gender of their unborn child, though they have chosen to keep it under wraps. The model disclosed that she is currently remaining close to home in case she unexpectedly goes into labour.
“Oh, I’m not leaving London. Joel and I were supposed to go on a babymoon last week and ended up… freaking out and staying home,” she told The Mirror.
Hannah also spoke candidly about how she intends to juggle life as a mother to both a newborn and a toddler.
She said: “There’s definitely that mum guilt, how do you navigate two?! “It’s a whirlwind of emotions that you almost don’t have time to think about – that’s maybe a good thing.”
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1 and ITVX
