Alabama softball is one win away from playing for an SEC Tournament championship.
The No. 2-seeded Crimson Tide (48-6, 20-5 SEC) faces No. 3 Florida (48-9, 17-7) on Friday, May 8 in the 2026 SEC Softball Tournament semifinals. Alabama opened tournament play with a 7-1 win over No. 7 Arkansas (42-11, 15-10), using four home runs and a complete game from Jocelyn Briski to move past the Razorbacks.
The Gators reached the semifinal after surviving a 10-9 quarterfinal win over No. 14 Auburn.

Ambrey Taylor's leadoff solo home run shot set Alabama up 1-0 over Florida at the bottom of the second inning. It's her 11th home run and second in as many days.
With the bases loaded, Vic Moten grabbed her fourth strikeout, all of which have come with runners in scoring position. Florida fouled out to close the top of the second inning, still scoreless.

In her first SEC Softball Tournament appearance, freshman pitcher Vic Moten walked two and answered with three-straight strikeouts to keep the game scoreless heading into the bottom of the first.
Both No. 2-seeded Alabama and No. 3 Florida are tied with six SEC Softball Tournament championships apiece. The winner of today's semifinal matchup will search to lead all teams in the conference with a seventh tournament title.
