The 2025 NFL regular season was filled with record-breaking performances from 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, and on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, he can add just a little bit more lore to his campaign.

With one touchdown in the NFC Wild Card Game, McCaffrey could join running backs Emmitt Smith and Thurman Thomas as well as wide receiver John Stallworth – all Pro Football Hall of Fame players – in becoming just the fourth player in NFL history with a TD in eight consecutive playoff games.

McCaffrey’s streak began as a member of the Carolina Panthers in the 2018 NFL playoffs, when he caught his first playoff touchdown of his career in the NFC Wild Card Game against the New Orleans Saints.

The 29-year-old wouldn’t see the postseason again until 2023 after he joined San Francisco. In that game, another wild-card matchup against the division-rival Seattle Seahawks, McCaffrey would finish with another receiving touchdown.

In total, four-time Pro Bowl back has nine touchdowns (six rushing and three receiving) over the course of this historic stretch.

McCaffrey finished the regular season with touchdowns scored in 12 of the 49ers' 17 games and had multi-touchdown showings four times.

In his career, the 2023 Offensive Player of the Year has scored two touchdowns in three games against Philladelphia.

On the other side, the Eagles allowed the fifth-fewest points at just 19.1 per game this season.
