Millwall's final-day victory over Oxford United confirmed their third-place finish but Ipswich's comfortable win over QPR meant the Lions' slim hopes of automatic promotion were dashed.
Things were a lot more dramatic for Hull City who had to come from behind to beat Norwich City and pip Wrexham for sixth position on a rollercoaster afternoon as the Welsh side were held to a 2-2 draw by Middlesbrough.
The first leg of the Championship's other semi-final between Middlesbrough and Southampton is on Saturday (12:30 BST) and we will have live text coverage of that game as well.
