The home improvement giant announced on Instagram that it's bringing back its fan-favorite tradition of giving away free spring flowers this Saturday, May 9, 2026, and locations in the greater Miami area are participating.

Whether mom is a seasoned gardener or just loves a fresh pop of color on the kitchen table, these flowers will be a perfect last-minute addition to her special day. Supplies are limited, so here's everything you need to know to snag yours before they’re gone.

The giveaway officially kicks off at 10am local time tomorrow, May 9. Each participating Lowe’s location in the greater Miami area is offering free flowers to the first 150 shoppers who qualify.

Because of the limited quantities, you’ll likely want to arrive a bit early. In previous years, lines have formed before the 10am start time, and with only 150 plants per store, they're sure to disappear fast.

And one more thing: the giveaway is an exclusive perk for MyLowe’s Rewards members. If you aren’t a member yet, don't worry—it is completely free to join. You can sign up easily on the Lowe’s website or via their mobile app.

Once you’re at the store, look for signs or ask an associate to point you toward the Giveaway Station where flowers are being distributed. You’ll need to show your Member ID (found in the Lowe's app) or have an associate look up your account using the phone number tied to your rewards profile.

While the specific type of flower depends on local climate and availability, Lowe’s has confirmed that this year's gift is a 1.5-pint annual. In years past, these have included a variety of vibrant colors and species perfect for spring planting.
