But “the second” she and Ashton reconnected, she knew it was different. 

"It's such a weird thing to put into words, but we didn't see each other for probably three to five years," Mila explained. "We always kept in touch, so we always checked in. Then we ran into each other at an award show and we both thought the other one was cute."
