"The Pitt" season 2 will take place over one shift, set 10 months after the Labor Day events depicted in season 1. The new season will follow Wyle's character, Dr. Robby, who is trying to survive a July 4th shift, which is a notoriously busy day for any hospital, per USA TODAY.
According to Forbes, most of the major characters from season 1 will return for season 2 including, Dr. Jack Langdon (Patrick Ball), Dr. Melissa "Mel" (Taylor Dearden), Dr. Santos (Isa Briones), Whitaker (Gerran Howell), Dr. Samira Mohan (Supriya Ganesh), Dr. Victoria Javadi (Shabana Azeez), and Dr. Robby (Noah Wyle).
