Botafogo takes the field this Wednesday (15) to face Racing at Estadio Presidente Perón in Argentina at 7 p.m. (Brasília time), in the second round of the 2026 Conmebol Sudamericana.

After drawing 1-1 with Caracas in its opener, Glorioso sits in third place in Group E, which is led by the Argentine club.

It is worth remembering that, unlike the Libertadores, only the top team in each group advances directly to the Sudamericana round of 16.

The team that finishes second must play a playoff against an opponent eliminated from the Libertadores group stage after finishing third in its group.

Compared to the last match — a 2-2 draw with Coritiba in the Brasileirão — coach Franclim Carvalho chose to overhaul the Botafogo lineup, keeping only Medina and Arthur Cabral among the starters.
