The Wisconsin Badgers have made their first move in the transfer portal, landing and signing George Washington guard Trey Autry, according to 247Sports’s Matt Zenitz.
Autry, a junior this past season, averaged 11.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists, while shooting 43.5 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from three.
The Badgers had been searching for wings following the departures of Nick Boyd, John Blackwell, and Andrew Rohde. Autry fills one of those holes, being a capable three-point shooter as he converted at a high rate on 6.4 attempts a game.
Autry is the son of former Syracuse head coach Adrian Autry, and will bring quality defense to the Badgers. That’s an area the team is looking to improve after a season where they performed well below expectations defensively in 2025.
Wisconsin still has quite a bit of work to do in the transfer portal, but the addition of Autry is a key one to building the foundation.
Wisconsin now has five roster spots to fill for the 2026-27 season.
