An actor from the “Hunger Games” movies was arrested last week on assault charges in Raleigh after a shot was fired from an electric bicycle at a moving vehicle.
Ethan Brody Jamieson, 27, who played a tribute in the “Hunger Games” series, is charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, according to Raleigh police.
Police said Jamieson was identified as a suspect following a March 22 incident in which a person on an e-bicycle shot at a truck on Wakefield Plantation Drive in Raleigh. Three people were in the truck at the time, including a 14-year-old boy.
“He turns the corner real quick and starts coming straight towards me. I honked my horn a little bit like, ‘what’s going on?’ and he turns around and starts following me,” said Elijah Fernandez, who had been driving the truck.
Fernandez said he then saw the suspect throw the bicycle into the road.
“So I’m like, ‘Oh, so he’s trying to block the road off; he’s going to throw something at my truck,'” he said. “That’s when I see him lifting his arms a little bit.
“I’m like, ‘Oh, no. He’s about to shoot.’ So, we all get down.”
Fernandez said everyone ducked inside the truck while he continued to drive.
“I couldn’t tell you what was going through my mind,” Fernandez said. “All I knew was that I was getting down. I couldn’t see where I was driving.”
Fernandez said he had the windows down on the truck, too. He said he and some friends had been fishing before driving home in the truck.
Fernandez said he rewatched the “Hunger Games” movies after he learned of Jamieson’s arrest.

Authorities are holding Jamieson without bond. A court date is scheduled for April 30.
Records show Jamieson was previously arrested in March 2025 for a charge of resisting a public officer.
According to IMDb, the actor played a boy from “District 4” in the first “Hunger Games” movie, which was released in 2012. He has also appeared in a minor role in the TV series “One Tree Hill,” which is filmed in Wilmington.
His last screen credit was in 2013.
