The Usos recently shared a childhood story about Roman Reigns that shows how much work the Tribal Chief has always put in.
They all grew up together in the Anoa’i family, raised more like brothers than just cousins. They played football together for years, which included the same early morning start times. Sort of.

The Usos recall Roman Reigns’ early football training and discipline
Speaking on Hot Ones Versus, Jey Uso brought up Roman Reigns and asked Jimmy Uso, “Even though he’s our first cousin, Roman Reigns is more like a brother to us. Let’s turn back the clock to Myrtle Grove ballpark and reveal an embarrassing childhood Roman Reigns story the OTC wouldn’t want you to share publicly. You better get it, get our ass whooped for this.”
Then Jimmy Uso shared his side of the story. He said, “I think uh well, I don’t know if it’s an embarrassing story, but it always stuck out to everybody on the team, and especially me and him. Our football games would be like 8:00 in the morning. Roman would have to make weight all the time cuz he was a bigger kid.”
He continued, “When we get to the ballpark, showtime’s at 8:00. We’re pushing up about 7:30. He’s been out there probably like 6 a.m. We’re like 10 years old here, 8 years old. But he’s got a trash bag. He’s got like two trash bags on. He’s just running laps trying to make weight, sweating his ass off. He’d make the weight and then he would eat whatever he want. Put the weight back on, go out there on the football field and just like dominate all the kids out.”

Jey Uso then added, “Other than his mom running out there, babying him all the damn time. Our mom be yelling, “Get up.” Yeah, get up. Get up. Our mom was total opposite.”
