BYU freshman and basketball standout AJ Dybantsa is expected to announce “big news” this week.

In a social media post on Wednesday, Dybantsa simply said, “Tomorrow.” The caption was followed by an image with white text on a black background, reading, “Big news tomorrow. 11:45am ET. IG Live at 12:00pm ET.”

While details of what exactly Dybantsa’s big news is, there is speculation that he could announce whether or not he would be entering the NBA draft.

Dybantsa, 19, has been a long-running favorite to go No. 1 in the NBA draft. At 6-foot-9, he averaged a national-best 25.3 points to help lift the Cougars to a sixth-seed finish. He was named to the Big 12 All-Tournament Team, All-Big 12 First Team and was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Year in 2026.
