The Phoenix Suns said that guard Grayson Allen will be ready to play in Game 3 Saturday in their first-round playoff series with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Suns head coach Jordan Ott told reporters Friday that both Allen and Jordan Goodwin did everything that the team did in practice ahead Saturday’s 12:30 p.m. tipoff at Mortgage Matchup Center. They were officially listed as questionable on the NBA injury report.

Goodwin (left calf) and center Mark Williams (left foot), who appeared in 60 regular-season games, are out.

Allen has been listed as available for the Suns’ last four games (two play-in contests) but has not played since April 10 against the Los Angeles Lakers. He dealt with a right knee for different points of the regular season, but has been kept off the court lately for a left hamstring ailment.

Ott referenced how Allen earlier this season has been willing to get in on the action even when not 100%.

“Even just our Spurs game on the road (March 19) just having an extra person available for those situations, credit to (Allen) for being ready to go in case of emergency.”

The sharpshooting guard has averaged 16.5 points (34.9% 3-point shooting), three rebounds and 3.8 assists across 51 games played.

Goodwin left Sunday’s Game 1 loss with a calf injury after playing five minutes and scoring two points after getting the starting nod from Ott. He averaged 8.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 70 regular-season games (10 starts) and then played at least 29 minutes in both play-in games, contributing 31 points, 13 rebounds and seven steals.

Thunder injury update for Game 3 vs. Suns

Oklahoma City guard Jalen Williams suffered a Grade 1 left hamstring strain in Wednesday night’s Game 2, as he exited the contest in the third quarter after scoring 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting.

The team announced Thursday that he will be reevaluated on a “weekly” basis, which means he will likely miss the remainder of the series, barring it extending at least to a Game 6.

Guard Isaiah Joe was listed as doubtful due to personal reasons, and Thomas Sorber remains out as he recovers from right ACL surgery last September. Joe was later ruled out.

Game 3 of Suns-Thunder will be at 12:30 p.m. on 98.7 and Arizona Sports app.
