Gronowski came to Iowa with an impressive resume, having won two FCS national championships at South Dakota State. After making the jump to the Big Ten, Gronowski was able to provide something that the Hawkeye faithful were starving for: Quality quarterback play.
Gronowski’s passing numbers were not especially notable. He finished the season completing 63.4% of his passes and threw just 10 touchdowns to seven interceptions. But Gronowski did damage with his legs, rushing for a team-high 16 touchdowns.
Gronowski’s intangibles are an important part of what he brings to the table. His grit and perseverance were apparent during the season as he played through a knee injury. Gronowski’s game is not flashy, but he orchestrated victory, leading the Hawkeyes to a 9-4 record against a challenging schedule. Even in such a short time in the program, Gronowski established himself as a respected leader.

Despite his accomplishments at the college level, Gronowski was not invited to the 2026 NFL Combine.
