FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WSMV) – Update (11:06 a.m.): Both Page and Franklin high schools’ buildings are secure. It’s a reported swatting incident.

Update (11:05 a.m.): Clarksville High School is reportedly on lockout out of precaution; there’s no known threat made against the school at this time.

Update (11 a.m.): Rutherford County Schools reports that Smyrna, La Vergne and Holloway high schools are all on lockdown due to bomb threats.

Update (10:59 a.m.): Metro Nashville Public Schools reports that Antioch High School is now on lockdown due to phoned-in bomb threats.

Update (10:54 a.m.): The Franklin Police Department reports that Page Middle School is also under a lockdown due to its proximity to the high school.

Update: The Franklin Police Department reports that a second bomb threat has forced Page High School into lockdown, along with Franklin High School, on Monday morning.

This marks the third school across Tennessee to go into lockdown due to a reported threat on May 11.

Earlier: Campus on lockdown as officers investigate bomb threat called into Franklin High School

The Franklin Police Department is investigating a bomb threat that was called into Franklin High School on Monday morning.

Police say that the school has been placed on lockdown.

“Officers are on scene combing the area. Additional updates will be forthcoming,” FPD said.

It’s the second threat under investigation Monday morning at a Tennessee school.

Out west, the Jackson Police Department is investigating a threat of their own at Jackson Central-Merry High School.

“​This morning, JPD Central Dispatch received a 911 call alleging an act of violence and a bomb threat at the school. Officers responded immediately and established direct contact with the school’s School Resource Officer (SRO),” JPD said.

The department reports that no reported acts of violence or injuries have occurred, and that all of the children are safe and accounted for.
