Tom Burke (The Souvenir) has inked a deal to join Grammy nominee Gracie Abrams in Please, A24‘s new film from Babygirl and Bodies Bodies Bodies helmer Halina Reijn.
Character details are under wraps, as is the plot of the picture. Reijn’s frequent collaborator David Hinojosa is set to produce alongside Reijn through her Man Up banner, with A24 also producing and financing, and Zach Nutman exec producing.
A rising English actor, Burke has previously been seen playing Orson Welles in David Fincher’s Mank, portraying Praetorian Jack in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga from George Miller. His other film credits include Steven Soderbergh’s Black Bag, Sebastián Lelio’s The Wonder, Joanna Hogg’s The Souvenir, Ralph Fiennes’ The Invisible Woman, and Nicolas Winding Refn’s Only God Forgives.
In television, Burke’s credits include War & Peace, The Lazarus Project, C.B. Strike, and Legends. His upcoming slate also includes Alex Garland’s Elden Ring movie for A24, Prime Video’s Blade Runner 2099, the BBC One drama California Avenue, and the next film from Room‘s Lenny Abrahamson, where he’ll star opposite Eve Hewson.
Burke is repped by B-Side Management, WME, and Entertainment 360.
