The game was scheduled to start at 6:45 p.m.
The Red Sox posted a message on X, formerly known as Twitter, that they were consulting with Major League Baseball officials and multiple weather services to determine the status of tonight’s game.
The Boston area is forecast to have rain throughout the evening until 2 a.m., according to AccuWeather.
The Red Sox message said that, with the Phillies not returning to Fenway Park this season, every effort will be made to play tonight’s game.
