Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) are clashing in the 65th match of the Indian Premier League 2026 on May 20. The encounter is taking place at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

MI are already eliminated from the playoffs but have two more games left in the tournament. KKR need to win tonight’s clash to keep their playoffs hopes alive. If they lose the clash, they will be eliminated from the tournament.

After opting to field first, KKR bowlers made a brilliant start, dismissing four MI batters in powerplay. The match was halted for some time after eight overs due to rain.

KKR wicket-keeper Angkrish Raghuvanshi sustained a finger injury in the 14th over of Kartik Tyagi. He was seen in pain and left the field with the team physio. He was replaced by Tejasvi Dahiya as the substitute wicket-keeper.

Raghuvanshi’s ouster can be a big blow for KKR in the match as he has shown a wonderful form in IPL 2026. With 422 runs in 13 games at an a strike rate of 146.52, he is the highest run-scorer for the side. Moreover, he has also hammered five half-centuries.

Speaking about the clash, MI delivered a poor batting show, reaching 147/8 in the 20 overs. After a top-order collapse, no batsmen could rescue their batting as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Many key batters lost their wickets cheaply.

Corbin Bosch (32*) added some crucial runs towards the end. Saurabh Dubey, Kartik Tyagi and Cameron Green clinched two wickets each, while Sunil Narine got one scalp.
